Dear Participating Shelter,

In our efforts to reward our courageous participating shelters, it is with great excitement that we announce today an innovative program that gives cash back to you!

Starting May 1, 2008 your shelter will earn one dollar ($1.00) for each dog you list with DogsInDanger.com, regardless of whether the dog is adopted, rescued or euthanized. This may seem a small amount but we are not a rich, city funded organization and every dollar counts. It takes about 1 minute to upload a new dog into our website. That's one dollar back to the shelter for each minute. If 2,000 dogs are added during the year that's $2,000 cash for the shelter.

Provide much needed vet care for your dogs, buy some new dog beds for the kennels, offer free spay/neuter to adopters or fund offsite pet adoptions. It's cash, so you use it where you need it most. You will be able to view your earning summary each time you log into DogsInDanger. Checks will be distributed to all participating shelters soon after December 31, 2008.

We earn no salaries for what we do. We do it because we care deeply for the dogs and wish to be part of building a more compassionate society. We know that you don't work with us for the love of money, but for the love of the animals. We cannot solve the many problems facing shelters, but DogsInDanger is one tool in your arsenal, and cash back is one way we can help. Please accept this as our way of conveying "thanks for your courage". All we ask is that you continue to work with us to save more dogs; be honest and transparent in your operations and use the money to help the dogs.
